Success Isn’t An Accident...It Comes Down To HABITS

When I was a rookie trainer, there was a lot that I didn’t know about how to truly develop players during sessions

The training sessions were one thing, but it didn’t always translate onto the court for some players

Why?

It took me a while to figure it out, but as I got older I started to understand that there was one thing that made certain players more successful than others

Now that I’m running a business, I know that it’s the same thing that determines how successful an entrepreneur is going to be

It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to put on muscle in the weight room, run a business, get good grades, be a top performer at your job, or anything else

Your success is determined by the quality of your habits

Let’s think about this for a second

You obviously know who Kobe Bryant is…

Kobe was notorious for getting up as early as 3am to train

He was also notorious for studying hours of film on his opponents and studying his own game

Keep in mind that lots of NBA players are just coasting...enjoying their money, going on vacations, going out clubbing when they visit other cities, etc.

Not Kobe though

I don’t even have to tell you how that story ends...

Here’s the point

Kobe was so disciplined in his habits to become better that failure was not even a question

He put his 10,000 hours in (probably way more than that) and he reaped the benefits of mastery

No matter what you’re trying to accomplish right now, your success is going to come down to your habits

What bad habits do you have right now? What habits do you need to create in order to be where you want to be?
