What Forrest Gump Can Teach You About Coronavirus...
I’m laughing at my own subject line right now lol
But I promise I’m dead serious about it...
In the movie Forrest Gump, there’s a scene when Forrest (the main character) is struggling to catch shrimp on his new shrimping boat
Then one day, a storm comes through and Forrest is the only shrimping boat out at sea, still shrimping while the other boats remained “safe” in the harbor
After the storm subsides, it turns out that all of the boats that remained in the harbor have been destroyed, but Forrest’s boat is still intact
The result?
Forrest goes on to take over the shrimping industry, and becomes a very wealthy man as a result
Now obviously we’re not out catching shrimp, but I want you to think about something for a minute
With everything going on in the world right now, lots of people are “docking their boats in the harbor” by playing Xbox and not working on their bodies, their craft, or their mindset
But I’m here to tell you right now: the people right now that continue to invest in their mindset, their health, and their skills are the ones that will DOMINATE their competition once this temporary quarantine is lifted
Coronavirus isn’t going to last forever, but the habits and skills you build now most certainly will
If you’ve been wanting to start that business, read that book, or even just work on your body, now is the perfect time to get to it
Don’t leave your boat in the harbor during the quarantine period...use this time to put some distance on your competition
Make sure you #StayInTheLab and do your part to slow the spread of the virus by working on your craft at home
What path are you going to take?
#StayInTheLab,
